Excellent book from beginning to end! I really learned a lot about blogging and branding .The writer's tone is friendly, conversational and professionally organized. A real good buy for author's juggling their own writing with blogging.
I really enjoyed reading this. As a seasoned blogger, I skipped over some of the information, BUT there were still plenty of hints to inspire me. If you're looking to start blogging, I highly recommend this book. If you, like me, were looking for something to improve your blogging, I still recommend this book. If only it came with someone to make you sit in your chair and actually write those posts...
I read this book in one sitting and found it so helpful! It's filled with actionable tips on how to start, improve and maintain a blog. I would definitely recommend this to other authors looking for ways to build their platform and market through their author website via a blog.
Having started out in the world of Blogs in May 2013, I was directed to this book by my fellow authors. Molly was and IS the authority on blogging. Her book gives you step by step instructions on how to set up your blog and how to add features to make it a fully functional Writer's Platform. If you have difficulties in creating your own blog, I recommend this book and visiting Molly Greene's website for further help!
While this book is clearly targeted towards nontechnical users that have very little experience with blogging, it's still packed with useful information. There is enough meat here even for a more technical user to find value. I have a technical background and so I recognize I was probably not the target audience. But I found the book well organized, a quick read that got to the point without a lot of fluff, and an overall enjoyable read. I'd recommend it to anyone considering starting a blog or hoping to grow an already existing blog to a greater audience.

Brimming with information, BLOG IT! is an interesting and helpful guide. There's something here for everyone.
I was told to start a blog since I was writing a book. So off I went in search of all the information I needed to do this. Yikes! Talk about overload. It was paralyzing. I don't even know how I found Molly, but I thank the stars I did. I bought her book right away -- Blog It! was just what I needed. So much of the blogging information about there wasn't for authors and to blog as an author is different than blogging as a Mommy Blogger or Business Blogger.
Blog It is written in a way that does not overwhelm. You get actionable steps and they are easy to do. I was able to streamline what I wanted to blog about and my mission. There is so much packed into this book even with it being a fast read. I go back often to reread chapters and sections. I cannot recommend this book enough. It truly is an invaluable resource for author bloggers. It is worth far more than the price it is set at.
My favorite part? I had questions and I contacted her via Twitter. After exchanging some DMs back and forth she took the time to give me a call and helped me with things I was unsure of and just needed some encouragement and advice to help make my website flow better. I couldn't believe she would care enough to take time out of her day to help me. Molly is selfless, encouraging, and full of great advice.
